Just curious how is the new 4 timetable working, do you still get crowding when you have the 10 mins gap on the acocks green to solihull section etc.

In fact the timetable on this section is more or less every 7 or 8 minutes. I've been boycotting the 4 since the service was almost halved but I tried it last week from Olton in mid afternoon. Waited 25 minutes, during which 2 workings which said 'Due' on the info system just disappeared. At length an E200 came up, full to standing but with room. It was 38 minutes late. I think I'll carry on with my boycott!

I was surprised to see the 31's daytime frequency increased. Does anyone know how's getting on since the change?

It interworks the 58 now, so had to match the frequency.

Still appears to be dead all the time though, although it was listed in the Solihull tenders along with the recent Landflight/Johnson's routes so maybe they've won subsidy for it?

What does E stand for? I have Googled (using various phrases), but can't find anything.

Short journey.
Meaning it's terminating earlier than scheduled somewhere on the route.

Thanks. Although how does E equate to short journey?  ;)

Society is obsessed with "E", I tell ya. I drove an automatic car a while back and one of the positions was "E" - for drive. Who knew "Drive" began with an E, eh?  :D
