More likely to be Geminis at the moment that will replace most of the Presidents.

What will happen to the current batch of Presidents then ?! Will they be withdrawn ?!

Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

The 94 will get them with branding.

@monkeyjoe they're too good for the 94...now the 904 they'd be suitable!

As their use in Birmingham is limited, maybe some new driver trainers? The Volvo blobs will be 20 this year.

Possibly they will transfer to Coventry to replace the mercs (short term)?

There's a fair few tired looking Tridents at BC. Whereas quite a lot of the Presidemts still look quite presentable and seem in good condition. If the withdrawal pool is 4023 to say 4350 then anything out of that block could be withdrawn probably based on condition - effectively anything needing much money spent could go. If you cast your mind back to Metrobus withdrawals, Fleetlines or even Birmingham standards they certainly didn't go in numeric order - similarly for, say 501-718 - 508 is still going but there only 14/15 left!

I thought about 30 of the older Tridents were re-engined not long ago, surely these will stay or is that not so?

I believe the retrofit programme got cut short, only 9 x Y-reg Tridents were done & 3 x 54 plate Tridents

It's going to be interesting in a year or two to see if Tridents or B7TLs are favoured. I'm not sure which type other operators of both withdraw first. But this is in the AG thread - the only garage to have no Dennis or ADL products.

That may change in the next couple of months if the rumours are true.
