Not necessarily - the largest E200MMC can hold 46 passengers in a 11.8m version.

That's 3 more than the current Scanias/Volvos.

Wonder can the 71 become DD now it doesn't do the radleys tunnel.

Low bridge in Minworth

I'd hope we'd get new E400 MMCs on the 37. We're very posh in Solihull and shouldn't have to put up with 5-year old buses!

No wonder why us deaf people sign Solihull "posh". ::)

The 37 is unlikely to see new E400MMC's, as the 'posh' people of Solihull & those along the route can't be trusted with double deckers due to amount of anti-social behavior/vandalism on board

You should be grateful you've only got 5 years old buses, a lot of other places still have to put up with much older buses!

Perhaps the people of Solihull should get a fleet of the poo-buses mentioned in another thread for the 37 as they're such effluent people!

AG wouldn't be able to accommodate a fleet big enough to consume that much poo.....

I suspect a lot of the affluence comes from other parts of the route.........................

I use the 37 pretty much every day, and I'm pleased that incidents of anti-social behaviour are relatively rare. The worst I've seen have actually been in Solihull!

Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Thinking about it, the 'posh' people of Solihull have had to have two routes converted from double deckers to single deckers due to high numbers of incidents i.e. YW 6 & AG 37.

Liberator9

I thought it was more to do with the issues they were having in Sparkbrook and Sparkhill - the burning of 4341 proved the exact reason why they try to avoid double deckers through there. On the 6 the only issues I've had are at Robin Hood Island and in Sparkbrook - three or four times had idiots trying to fare dodge. Cue the This Bus is under attack alarm...Other issues on the 6/37 were up in Sparkbrook where some loud mouthed idiots were onboard - remember one in a group once was about to light a cigarette but one of his mate's stopped him - wise on a single decker. Also had another get on there only going to light up his cigarette at the back.

Solihull can have its fair share of fools - had two people trying to open the emergency exit door on the S3 once, and a fight nearly broke out on the S3 under NX days.
