The 4 had more 61** than Single Deckers on today. The bus I caught (6130) was on time and arrived in the City a few minutes early... I'm not sure what the 4A had on it, but there was more Deckers than Singles on the 4 today...

Think you're exaggerating a little, the main reason for the traffic was the installation of traffic lights at the Battery Way junction but those are all in operation now so no temporary lights are there, the only place there was a slight build up of traffic was joining the Stratford Road which was fairly busy but this could of been for the Eid shoppers, as well as an Pedestrian V Car further up by Formans Road which was having an affect on the 6 as it was closed for most of the day, the 4's seemed completely fine though...
the full buses was annoying though. Constantly waiting for a available one took ages.

Rumours are 55&94 to be merged together
Looks like I was right about this  :D

Perry Barr drivers are route learning the 55 as they will be doing it on a sunday. nothing about it being combined though.

Is being "merged" meaning "having them interwork" rather than actually merging the routes? If so then all the words above were over a misunderstanding.

That makes sense, if they are going to operate Sunday journeys on the 55 by interworking with the 94, but its not exactly merging or combining the routes as was previously claimed.

55 drivers have 25 mins at chelmsley wood each trip so by interworking with the 94 it cud mean pvr of 1 less

Could be some interesting workings then Gemini,  ex Hagley Road 4800's and Omnicity on the 55, which have never been seen on the 55 route before. Will Sundays be only PB on 55/94?

Also is this from the 25th July as well when the supposed change is? Wander what the "route change" on bus times means?

Hopefully it'll just be them changing the route back to Stechford Lane - Stechford Road now they've finished the roadworks and changed the traffic lights so you can turn left there now.

He never gave a specific date that this would commence.

2206 has pointed out a 'variation' that takes effect from 25th July, so that is likely when this will happen.

Birmingham Central drivers are also now learning the 94 so i can only assume that both BC and PB will be jointly operating both
