Already single deck.

Spare deckers? They've got to find somewhere for the singles that the 55'll be losing. Short of physically putting out more vehicles like Steve has mentioned I doubt much else can be done.
Move 3301 - 3305 to PB and back into service maybe? As someone said these aren't being used at persent for some reason, so presumably these could be spared?
And 4697/4698 maybe as well? How long it would take to reconvert one of these?
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

Is it a one way trip to PVS or EMR  :)

What about the 17
Is that the only comment you're going to make on the whole subject ?

Before September the 28 was every 15 minutes and was augmented 28E between Dyas Road and Tyburn. Now the 28 is back to every 12 minutes and the 28E's have gone. Now they are full with people standing when the schools are on them. Surely this was thought out wrong.

Before lockdown 28 was 12 with no  short journey. That 15 minute business went some time ago.

No it didn't the 15 minutes frequency lasted until 29th August.

If there was really a need for Double Deckers that can't be resolved by shuffling the currently fleet, NX would be better off buying/leasing second hand (probably ex London) deckers. First have leased deckers from Engisnbus to cover duplicates for peak time extras for Schools only.

Can't the 46 cope with single deckers?
Don't judge me until you've walked in my size ten shoes.

The 15 minute frequency was during the lockdown, with reduced demand I think.
I think what @monkeyjoe means is that before the lockdown, i.e. before March it was every 12 minutes, and that is correct. I think it used to be every 10 Heartlands - Old Oscott and every 20 to Great Barr before that.
In September the service resumed to its pre lockdown frequency like most routes.

That is what I meant the standard timetable pre covid.

Too wishful thinking but I would love to see 4680 - 86 back here.

Surely there is an 'issue' with using double door buses in the West Midlands? (Accident?)

I know in the MR Keeley WMPTE book from the late 80's, after the final orders inherited from the old Corparations entered service, all future vehicles were single door, apart from a batch of Nationals in 1976!
