Major mechanical issue is all I know. I'm not an engineer. But apparently it would be uneconomical to repair it. It was towed away today

First Spectra withdrawal, excluding 4014, this marks a very sad day as a huge Spectra fan, I'm going to make sure I get them all again in the next few weeks then  :(

I don't think any others will follow it any time soon, this one just had a major incident today, something to do with the gearbox, it would need a new floor and other things to be repaired and wasn't worth the money in NXWM's eyes

It could help the spectra fleet survive a bit longer if this bus can provide lots of spares to keep the rest on the road as didnt someone previously mention that spares had become expensive...

Well with all the new buses arriving in 2014 i can see the Spectras being Withdrawn. That will be a sad day when they go

I can categorically guarantee that Spectras are here for a while longer yet! There be no mass exodus.

Well it can be used for spares wherever it is and with 130 buses per year or even up to 150, assuming all mercs/b6s/b10s/darts are withdrawn before the spectras, they have a while to go yet

B10's are nearly finished, just WA + YW with them, then I guess the darts will not be too far behind them

They do seem a bit knackered the remaining darts-still twm has had nearly 8 years use out of them here

There good little buses they are  :) not much leg room though
