Apparently 4535 replaced a Merc on the 81 today, any truth in that?

Afraid not. 4535 spent the entire day on the 255 & 256, no tridents showing on there all day

Funny you should mention that as i overheard one of the inspectors having a discussion on the phone about double deckers not being allowed on the 81's.

There was a Spectra on there the other day I saw, operating 81E though.

Yes last saturday, did a full days operation on the 81, I had a ride on it aswell.

Possibly!! The rate that decisions are changed the B6s might be safe this week, but next week, who knows!!!

I like b6s i am amazed how they manage to climb the many hills of dudley back in their pensnett days. They have endured much and still out living the younger mercs

Easy to tow back when they inevitably break down! Sure some of the new WB ones have already had trouble, I know the PE ones had issues when they first started

I know although 37 seaters are not a good idea on the 59! Its usually allocated to the last 59 out of garage in a morning.
