4899 is back, if anyone is bothered.

Does this mean Tridents will stop appearing on the 900/957 now?

Not as many as there has been of late. When 4909 returns (if it has not done so already), then Tridents won't appear very much any more

It'll most likely mean more 900 / 957 branded E400s on the 24.

Do I detect a touch of... disgust [?] to that post, Mike? Haha

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Although I rarely use the 24 myself, I do enjoy the diversity of the route LS. Apart from maybe an E200 (even these were once common on one peak working) there's no such thing as an unusual working.

I've noted that this is becoming more commonplace Sayeed, with the hybrids effectively split across the 22/23/24. There were 5 hybrids on the 24 on Saturday, with 4316, 4610 and 4616 all on the 22/23. It's a shame they don't get a few more hybrids to convert the entire corridor to full hybrid operation.

Ben

Does anybody know why Tridents are still being used on the 900?

I think I saw two this evening- The first of which was going into Coventry at about 16:10 (I was on Molly in the opposite direction so didn't catch the number. Molly seemed extrodinarily squeaky in comparison to the other Enviro's) and the second further on, but I'm even less sure about that.

Also, yesterday I'm sure I sure what I shall now permanently refer to as "The Countdown bus" (4321) going into Coventry on a 900 at about the same time 16:10

Thanks for that :)

I'll just take this oppurtunity to add that unbranded buses Ruby and Tiah Joy were out on the 900 as well. The former of the two has been the victim of  'etching' on an upper deck window by the staircase.
