Also 4148 is on the 900 and 4367 is on the 957 today :D

Not sure if this is a silly question however how do these buses turn around now since the little slip road was filled in (and still serve the heathland avenue stop on the other side). I only as this because the 94 when they have short journey to castle brom the term at the Clock Garage which makes sense.

It's a really random question out of the blue, but I was thinking about it earlier. Why is it that the 56 is the only service operated by NXWM to my knowledge exclusively for evenings and Sundays?
What is there special about the 56 route that makes it needed? Is it to still provide a service to Kingshurst on evenings and Sundays as the 59 stops? But then, it operated when the 54 existed and I'm pretty sure that ran quite late. Also, the 55 runs very very close to the Kingshurst terminus so it still doesn't make that much sense. Or is it just to add extra frequency to the Washwood Heath corridor? But if that's the case then why only the Washwood Heath corridor and not others in the West Midlands?

I'm not overly familiar with that part of Birmingham, but I guess the main reason was many years ago, when Evening & Sunday buses weren't as popular it essentially merged two daytime services together to provide a less-direct service to more areas in order to make the route economically viable.   

Up until recent Network Reviews they used to be fairly common - for instance in the Walsall area you had the 332 route, which was a cross-over of the 331 & 335/6, the 372/373 (which covered the 302 & 329 routes) & the 344 (which covered parts of the 346 & 348 routes). I guess now they believe there is enough patronage to run those routes individually, therefore enabling a more direct journey for passengers & a simpler network.

56 fills in for the bear eve's service on the castle brom - city corridor and previously a tendered service a merger of the old 93/92.

So part from City - c brom commercial

cbrom - kingshurt was under subsidy.

nxwm,s 90 route renumbered to 70 and extended route Birmingham-Solihull and back what bus type will be allocated for it e.g scania omnilink

I suspect from Heathland  Av,along Bradford Road & left at Hall Rd & around the island by Castle Bromwich Hall.Will check tomorrow when I walk the dog.

That's what i thought, so assuming must do a left down heathland av and turn at buckland end but seems a bit far in wasted built up mileage.

The 56 was the evening and Sunday alternative to the 54 also
