I saw a Trident on the X64 yesterday displaying Woodgate as the destination, anyone know why?

New x64 route from February. It'll do up to Newman College then down to Woodgate and terminate. This is to coincide with the 29 changes. By the way, it's February now for the changes... they just cannot make up their minds.

That's the latest anyway!! Half and half for reliability of source though.

Makes sense with the destinations etc.

21 anyone?!

The fact that they are tinkering with the X64 again having already cut its frequency shows they got it wrong. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the X64 is just a renumbered 921, which was a failure. When commuters had the choice of the 21 or the limited stop 921, far more people used the 21 which provided a number of useful links.

I'd like to see the old 21 back, and the (4)48 curtailed back to the QE, rather than the giant mutant mess of a route it is now.

Agreed! Ever since the 48 (formerly 448) was extended up that end, the frequency has gradually lowered

It does seem to make far more sense to have a more frequent service (say, every 10 minutes?) along the bristol road to selly oak then down to the castle / bartley green. Not the old 21 route, I know people miss it but personally I thought it was hideous and unreliable

Wrong, the 448 was always every half hour

The (4)48 used to be every half hour in the evenings, ever since the change to extend it to Bartley Green, it's become hourly in the evening. Not without complaints either

Thanks LS,

I assume pushing the date of the South Birmingham review back to Feb 2014, may now coincide with new deliveries of part of the 2014 NX bus order

Saw a BC bus needing assistance by an engineer yesterday... didnt quite `atch the full fleet number, but it ended '26' so could be 4326, 4426 or 4626  ???

What location?

Can't be 4626 that expired at Frankley couple of days ago. And another one broke down there as well but forgot that fleet number, it was a 43 though.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Yes it must have been 4626, I saw it as I was passing on the X64 it was a young driver I think.

Ahh there you go! I was parked in the car park there whilst doing a spot of shopping and spotting, so to speak.

Ahhh ok, I often pass Holly Hill terminus on the X64 from work back to Great Park. I always glance across to see if I see anything intersting  ;)

Fair enough Dave. Anything else decent let us know, I'm rarely over that end these days.

Always nice to see a rare working parked up, an E200 or such on the BR. Never did get the pleasure.

Right, what I've heard is..

The Cov rota will have its Cranes Park work removed. The Coleshill rota will have its  TX & 'CP' & CM work removed, when the 90 is extended to Solihull.

The '70' and 900/E, 957 will join and make one rota. The scrubby odd bits off the previous rotas will revert back to their mother rota.

I don't know what they will call this 3hr + round trip rota. With the 70 being 4.5hrs round trip its a beast.

100% reliability at source. 50:50 for the change to go ahead.

Discuss if you please

What does the Solihull extension of the 90 entail? And is the '70' a new service or just driver speak?
