4447 on the 822 came into Birmingham City Centre the wrong way, along St Vincent Street, Cambridge Street earlier today, terminating by the Police HQ building on Snow Hill Queensway. The 822 isn't supposed to go into the City Centre that way, its supposed to go along Bath Row up to Corporation Street with the 23/24 and change onto the 24.
He also went all the way around Five Ways island twice, so looked like he was lost.
The driver was also declining to pick up passengers and allow them onboard, he was turning passengers away at Five Ways and Edgbaton, when he had a complelty empty bus. Despite the fact it says on the front of the bus that its available to the general public.
Local Routes

Just a tip off that might be worth mentioning, had 4473 on Saturday and gearbox/axles sounded on the way out. Gear changes were still fairly normal but as it got up to speed you could hear a grinding sound

I have noticed this on this particular vehicle, there are a couple of other tridents that ha e a similar affliction. However when the B10L's were in service 1480 had a VERY whiny differential. I reckon the problem is with the main pinion bearing on the front of the diff casing, bit of a bitch of a job but nothing that would kill the vehicle (cost vs repair)

I remember 1480's whine, tbf I quite liked it, made it sound quite nice, was a shame to see this go, being the last TWM liveried one.

Notices up on BC buses to advise of timetable changes on the X20/21/22 from 5th January to 'address issues of unreliability'.

Good luck with that.

They can change timetables all they like, the fact is the route is like a car park of an evening as someone has already alluded too. It won't make any difference in my opinion.
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.

Yes I agree. Some bus priority measures on this route would be good I think.
Edgbaston Park Road always seems to be heavily congested in the evening.  And all the cars turning from Edgbaston Park Road into Somerset Road seems to slow it down as well, because once you get past there its clear then.

I very rarely see a x22 cut short however, whereas the x21 I've seen a lot of E working on it.

Momentarily, until you get to the Uni Station and the 3 Islands leading up to the Selly Oak Triangle.

I've seen plenty on all of them. They're all just as bad as each other.

45 or 47 being extended to Cofton Hackett?
That makes no sense to me. The X20 already serves Cofton Hackett to replace the 47 when it was rerouted to Longbridge. Why re-extend it?

I suspect this is just another case of VOSA not using the most up to date termini again. It's probably just standard timetable changes to the current routes.

On the 5514 working on the 60. Don't think that the driver is familiar with the bus; there were alarms sounding every couple of minutes. Don't get to ride these buses often but when I do it's a good experience.

Says the same here, along with something about a route change due to roadworks.

Probably just the handbrake being released before the doors have fully closed?
