Bath Row seems to be better now with the stretch of bus lane and the work around Holloway Circus finished, but it does still take a sizeable chunk of Broad Street traffic which obviously will remain until the tram works are done

Then Edgbaston Park Road gets used as a rat run to avoid the Bristol Road with all the traffic on there at the moment, so yeah I'd agree you could restrict it to buses and taxis but that's only really going to screw the BR over even more

And then of course the QE traffic, which regularly backs onto the New Fosse Way roundabout and the X22 gets it worst trying to go round Mindelsohn Way, I'd actually suggest the X22 continuing straight then right onto Harborne Lane would help

The traffic light sequence has been changed at Holloway Head which is enabling 61s and 63s to enter the island and exit in one go. Apart from one night when there was a big event at the 02 academy it seems to have improved things.
The last bus stop from city on Bristol St has been re-opened, but since the traffic light timings have changed it is now unpractical to use.

Seen the new LED advert on 4947? Or whatever bus was on the x20. Looks very good

Saw one on the ☓70 earlier, it does look good. Has to strain my eyes a bit though to read what it said it was that bright.

I seen about 6pm when it was dark so I didn't have that problem

Yes, but it could still benefit from removing the parked cars from the outbound stretch.

Yep I don't think it would ever happen but it'd need to in order to make these routes work.

No it doesn't. The traffic gets worse going up the new road and past the 2 subsequent islands. The ☓20 and ☓21 get it worse. Rerouting the ☓22 up there would make things worse for that route.

Tonight the traffic was queuing from university all the way down to selly oak. The x22 hits it at as it joins Metchley Lane.

I know, I was in it. Sometimes it can affect Harborne Lane too but the new road is regularly filled with traffic.

Fair enough, my bad I thought it was specifically the QE traffic that was the issue.
Shows that the bypass was worth it though, really don't understand why they only built it with one lane each way
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

Harborne Road bus lane was finally open this morning and it cut a decent amount of time off the journey. Arriving into the city only 4 minutes late is almost unheard of on a Monday morning.

Seems to be a record 3 MMCs on the ☓21 today, along with 4949 something must have gone wrong somewhere.
I guess it'll be fully B7RLE when the ☓70 becomes platinum though.

Not necessarily, there's extra platinums due for BC on this order, so there will still be spares.
