4183 has been on the 889 for the last three days. I have also seen an X61 branded Platinum going in the direction of Kingshurst Academy two afternoons this week, it was 6836 on Tuesday, but it doesn't appear to come back on the 889. Is there another route from there which does not come through Yardley?
94C.
Ward End, The Fox and Goose to John Henry Newman School - it serves Kingshurst Acadamy as well,
Usual afternoon allocation is E400 MMC Platinum. It then goes dead from the Fox and Goose to the Airport and onto the X1. X1/25.

Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

Thanks 2206, I will stop looking for it coming back through Yardley. 4183 was on the 889 again today.

James.

Doesn't the A52 get any bus in the garage?

Still hoping some go out in service Monday. At the moment only 6857 is completely ready, but there's a team of people working on the others

I don't think it would be possible to remove the 'stop-start' without replacing the engine. I think its more a case of drivers knowing how to 'override' it, possibly by keeping their foot on the accelerator pedal while the handbrake is applied. (Which defeats the whole purpose of having stop-start technology in my opinion)

Certainly I've been on a number of buses that don't 'stop' while parked at a bus stop, while equally I've also been on buses that 'stop' while waiting in traffic queues or at red-lights.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath
