4474 does what can only be described as a whining noise when it accelerates. Awfully annoying !

Jack, never been type trained on scanias but have driven them in service on the 88 service back 2009/2010 it was an emgergency at the time something had happened in brum which held up buses that evening, so the inspector at oldbury took buses off the 404E which were terminating at west brom and gave them to the late nite drivers who were standing around with no buses to drive. A running card was brought to me later.

Fast, yes. Good at what they do, yes.
But personal opinion, I find it very hard to fit on them, legroom lacking on near enough every seat. Also, from my point of view they just seem oversized (I know they're the same size as a standard single decker, just something about them) and clumsy, in the way they bounce like a fat kid when you go over a speedbump sometimes

Yeah I agree, they do seem oversized just like a fat kid. Massive amount of headroom at the front and whittles down to nothing at the rear seats, I know the b7rle has the same set up, as does alot of single deckers, but on the scanias it just seems more pronounced.

Platinum MMC on the 829 so guessing it did a run on the 9 too !

I was thinking that, when posting in the NW thread, but then realised... Doesn't anything on the 829 go onto the Harbornes later that day? I mean, I have VERY low exprectations, lol.

Wasn't sure where to put it but nearly ran over a group of kids who had just shattered a window on one of the newly refurbished 14's branded Trident's went driving through Lea Hall earlier. All i know the bus was a 54 plate. :o
