First day in service and 6701/6708 already sent back to BC

do driver's even do pre-checks before departing

Of course they do! You can not tell sometimes in garage if the ticket machine is not working properly until you start in service then something goes wrong with it (Once I was on the 1st 65 of the day, and the machine started playing up not long after I started in service, I had the machine swapped though, not the bus). Other faults can develop during the day

That's a bit unfair on your colleagues John. Relying on spotters for information
6708 never started service this morning, 4944 did the first trip on time, so any defect was found before departing, if that bus was actually allocated, could have been a test drive that was seen.
6701 went back to garage at the end of its running board as all 900 boards do around 15:00, so far 4898 & 6703 have come out on the evening boards

Still another 5 running boards to come out of garage

Solo1

will the 900 be fully platinum on Tuesday or are they waiting for some more

Trident 4194

Which bit of the 900 is more scenic? Birmingham- airport or airport- Coventry?

at the moment 6701-6710 are for 900 at BC
so I would imagine it will be fully platinum tomorrow @Solo1

Well 4315 - 18 is 4 buses - could replace some Spectras, think I need an enigma code to work out the rest!

I suppose 'garage 1' could be Wolverhampton - but which buses are leaving here to go to 'garage 2' ?

Or 4 Tridents to Pensnett, then3 E400s to Perry Barr and 1 Merc withdrawn.

Gets hazy after that without knowing.

There is a right chain going to happen
4 buses BC-garage 1
3 buses garage 1 - garage 2 (+1 withdrawn)
3 different buses garage 2 - garage 3
1 bus garage 3 - garage 4 (+2 withdrawn)
1 bus at garage 4 withdrawn

A lot of work goes into the cascade plan, so 4 new buses at BC replace 1 at garage 1, 2 at garage 3 & 1 at garage 4.

Now if anyone could work out which garages they do deserve a prize

Garage 1 = Wolverhampton
Garage 2 = Walsall
Garage 3 = West Brom
Garage 4 = Acocks Green
(Just a guess, bet I'm miles off!)
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

One e400 4814 is on x96 all day board so that could move tonight

The 'garage 1' [Wolverhampton] withdrawal could be one from 586/598/4001/4004/4015. Not sure what the "+2 withdrawn" from garage 3 [West Brom] would be - two Merc O405N's presumably.

Tony has hinted that AG 4036/46 and WA 1453 could be going (well, 24th May, its last day has passed, so in-theory 1453 is already withdrawn) does that help?! It could be those garages you have mentioned but not necessarily in the right order.

I agree what would pb withdraw though?

Stuharris 6360

right let me try

garage 1 WA
garage 2 WB
garage 3 WN
garage 4 PN

@Tony , is anybody close?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Tony

Somebody is close, nobody is correct, no further comment until vehicles actually move (none have gone so far)
