In the time I spent there services operated at Hockley were 8A/8C 16/16A 65 66 66E 67 68 82 87 88 88E 101 120 127E 128 128E 129  258 , there was one mini bus route 654 I think plus various schools . Then in the summer of 2002 the big garage shuffle happened 87 88 120 128 129 moved to west brom in came 21 29 103 . If i remember 65 67 moved earlier to perry Barr , 258 moved to pennsnet in 2000 . I do miss Hockley garage I was tought to drive there by mick and Jason excellent instructors , mick was of the old skool .

At least on of 5510/3/4 on the 22/23 today, too far away to ID but could tell from the black window surrounds and lack of Hybrid lettering.

I loved it when Hockley took over my local 103 route as Metros were much more common on the route then. They had some excellent examples such as 2535, 2559, 2581, 2707, 2859 (which for what seemed like ages had a dark blue replacement panel near the front destination) + lots of 29**. Much better than the boring newer stuff used on it by BC, both before and then after 2005. The best time was circa 2003 when private hire Metros were used in normal service. Fantastic!

Oh yes, lived in Harborne at the time and getting a DP Metro home from work on the 29 or 103 was fantastic! Mind you, quite enjoyed a Lynx on the 29 or 103 which did happen occasionally then also.

I did enjoy the harborne services for the brief time I did them vastly more pleasant than Dudley road. I did get to drive ex airbus vehicles on those services which still had luggage racks and head rests.

Also when the fleet had variety! Mercs, Optare, Volvos (Different Bodies), Metrobuses, etc, etc... (Also the Gemini Demonstrator, wasn't that at Hockley, @2900 ?)
Check out my photos on Flickr & Instagram

Hockley used to do the odd journeys on the 50/79/78

The demonstrator Gemini arrived at Hockley  after I transferred  to west brom I did see it a few times on the front park area when I was doing soho road services.  I do remember seeing various clip boards hanging up in the mess room with 74 78 79 on them , I was told Hockley operated those services in the past.
