The first of 3 of the coventry scanias are leaving the garage today as 4 new buses have come in. I have been told by the guy sorting them out that they are destined for wolverhampton !!!!
He said some or possible all of them may go to walsall thoughThey cant be used on the 38 due to thw low bridge by bradford place

What route do people think they will be used on in wolves that is if they are going there?

I think its highly unlikely any will go to WN, Merc & B7RLE are the standard types there...... it's more likely to be PB or WA as previously suggested to replace further B10L's or even YW

Only going by what the guy who is sorting them out said they was going!

Yes I saw that, just can't see it happening myself.

Why introduce a small quantity of Omnilink, a new type to WN, another type of spare will need stocking, drivers will all need type training / engineers will need training etc

Full agree with you I was shocked when he told me!

Unless could it be they are going to WA & will operate routes in to Wolves?

Matt Kings say" Scanias will transferred to Walsall garage only!". Someone could be wrong information.
I'm dislike double decker! I love a bendy buses!

Don't ask to me about Double Decker and only talk me for Single Decker and Bendy buses.

6004 T604 MOA .... 6005 T605 MOA ... 6008 T608 MOA .... 6013 BJ03 ESN ....

1863-1874 still running at Coventry moment. 1875-1877 transferred to NXWM. 1875 still branding with Bernard Delaney, who was the Coventry Area Manager, retired in 2010

Well it wouldn't surprise me too much if at some point Omnilinks did enter service at a garage that hasn't previously operated them as they are the second most popular bus type in the fleet but I can't imagine that would be WN, not at the moment anyway in that they have had a large quantity of the fleet replaced, have a wide range of vehicle types already, the widest if I'm correct and have just started operating B6's again

OmniLinks can get under that bridge. Tony has tested it!

So I imagine that the Omnilinks will in fact go on the 34/38/39
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

Most used routes in bold

Trident 4609

Probably the Omnilinks will go onto most of the routes regually including ones like the 69/89/70/A/7/7A etc. Along with the 4/H/M , 311/3, 301/2 etc. It will mean the B10L being withdrawn.

Does the 335/6 need B6LE's as nothing else goes on there.

So Routes like 34/38/39, 7/A, 69/89,70/A will get More Omnilinks and B7RLE's

Make more sense sending them to Perry Barr. As there will
No buses restricted into Birmingham then except optare solo. And routes
Like 46 can be single deck again.

I hope they don't come to Walsall as I'm a fan if B10L and would be sad to see them go.

Walsall need an extra 12 buses for 934/936/997 changes so the Scania might come as extra buses required.
And still the B10L lives on a little longer. If they did cone to Walsalll a through sequence from 1848-1904. Meaning a total of 57.

I didn't realise WA would be gaining that much extra work, some double deckers would become surplus to requirements following the transfer of the 934 to WA, doesn't the 934 normally use the Scania Omnicity double deckers at present?

I'm surprised WA are now down to only 6 x B6LE, they once had around 50 ish
