Not entirely sure but it either works on its own or posdibly interworks with.an 8A or a 70 (Walsall-Bloxwich)

it has to interwork with something or something happens with it as there is usually 3/4 different vehicles on it during the day on a sunday

Its ok;) I thought the same thing at first but it clocked that a daytime service (20/21) couldn't interwork with an evening service (Arriva 335)

I don't know how it works on the 335, but it is possible the bus could just be changed as drivers change shifts. A similar system works on Walsall's 997E on Sundays/Evenings, where a replacement bus comes from the depot dead to Pheasey, with the bus coming off driving dead to depot.

The 335 is a pretty tight and nicely timed working (in that it's a 25 minute round trip every 30 minutes), so in theory shouldn't need to interwork with anything. At one point when Cannock operated it, it used to interwork with some journeys on the 2.

The comment about interworking with the 20/21, could be meant as in the running board involves working the daytime 20/21, then goes to operate the evening 335 service. Again I don't know for certain.

If so, any chance of them stopping for passengers on route, as Ive been told, its going past my cousin again, despite being him being at the stop in plenty of time.
