It's the cadets that have the problems and the solo's the darts do overheat from time to time but nowhere near as common as the cadets. Be interesting to see how many breakdowns we get tomorrow.

B7RLE 30833 on the 41 (Walsall-Willenhall) this afternoon

Probably using the newer buses to stop the darts overheating on a warm day like today.

It actully replaced a centro which left Walsall out of service. A cadet broke down on the 255 this evening

Surely Rotala must know how unreliable these cadets are and be looking to replace them I know they were trying to sell them before but on a normal day with normal temperatures they can break down on the 4/4H/4M so if the temperature is the same as today I guess 2/3 if not more breakdowns will be seen.

They may well do, which could have been the reason that they tried to sell the whole batch. But it doesn't look as though they had any interested parties or not at the price Rotala wanted for them anyway

The cadets do get thrashed a lot especially on the 4 and 301 when competing with NXWM which does not help them but for 51/02 reg vehicles they should be more reliable, I think there just overused have high mileage and all round aren't that great.

Those Cadets have probably seen 18hrs a day service / 7 days a week under BCC & Diamond and it's now taking its toll. They used to be used on commercial services all day then move on to tender routes on an evening & Sunday

Is 42565 on the 58 yesterday classed as unusual-it certainly got a lot of comments such as what an old bus and caused problems with people having to fold up prams. Mind you, brilliant bus and I did 2 round trips on it yesterday-ironically it was the collest bus to travel on with its slider windows.

Here is a picture of K126URP on the 58

I just watched a video on Youtube of K123 URP and that sounded ZF to me.

I grew up with Voith Citybuses (aka B10M-50 or D10M) like this one: http://youtu.be/NAVNNILjLtc?t=1m50s and love & miss them.

Does anyone know if any Voith Citybuses are still in service anywhere, or if any are preserved?

Nope, they were ZF. The ones I was referring to are the 4 previously owned by Evergreen Coaches, which were Voith with Alexander bodywork. I believe all 4 are now sadly scrapped. They had a fleet consisting of Citybuses, Spectras and Olympians which got used on my old school routes.

They are in Tony's fleetlist for Evergreen Coaches

Oh right forgot about them-they were part of thandi weren't they and dont they still own some smart royale olympians. To be fair, citybuses are fantastic buses-just a shame that operators didnt buy more of them. My favourite ones are alexander bodied ones and a couple of these at least are preserved

Yes, they were previously known as Thandi Coaches but changed name to Evergreen in 2010 if I remember rightly.

The Volvo Citybus is my favourite bus in existance, and Voith my favourite gearbox in a Citybus, simple as :P

Where are these preserved Alexander bodied Citybuses?
