4464 has been withdrawn from Coventry (engine problems), but is currently on the back of a tow truck to Wolverhampton to see if it is worth fixing to replace 4310 which unfortunately has been found to not have enough chassis left to be worth putting through another MoT
Gutted, 4310 was the most reliable vehicle in the WN fleet. Fairly tidy replacement though, hope to have 4464 done by next week.

According to the pics on this site, they had 'National Express Coventry' on a red background, before changing them to a 'standout' blue label.

I suspect it was to reflect the sky blue of the standard NXC fleet. Whilst to some they look garish, they do amplify the brand and would be far more recognisable to local passengers as NXC bus.

Personally, I think its a very smart move by NX to keep vehicles on brand whilst enabling cross-fleet transfers.

Likely tests for seatbelting them, as I believe you need to basically pull one apart as part of the test process, hence why there was half of an ex-London Gemini in their yard back in 2020.

Any views/comments are my own and do not reflect those of my employer.

Typo Tony, should 4545 read 4546?
