Meanwhile 4380 was on the 2 yesterday. Couldn't see the flap on it, so I'm presuming it doesn't have an exhaust trap fitted.
Nah it's only 4382-4394 that have them, 4380 having a last hoorah before moving as tonight it's on the WN 1!

I do have a gut feeling 4370/4/9/80 are all to leave for WN, sad times if they do :(
I have been told all the untrapped tridents will be moving eventually although not all before the emissions zone comes in due to lower summer PVR's kicking in. No doubt a correction is coming my way though! Very sad times indeed!

Yup, behind the MK1 Metrobus, the 41** and 43** Tridents are my favourite buses.

The cascades and transfers will be exciting though

Poor 4380, my favourite BV52 :(
It's a shame not more of the 43** could of been trapped. I do hope they look after them, YW have looked after them impeccably over the years. Think a few people will be saddened 4374 will be going...  :( I won't miss 4372 though.

4374 did sound good, but now it sounds like any other Trident. I'm excited for 4586 to come to YW.

For once I completely agree! I like how YW always put the proper ALX Headlight surrounds on, no other garage bothers... A small touch like that makes them look 10 times better. Even most of the Crimson 45** have all had them added since moving to YW. They always seem cleaner too inside and just generally more well kept at YW but that's just my opinion of course.

Bit of a stupid question (I know) but are all of 4578-4592 due to come to YW? If they are then I'm excited for 4579 and 4588 to move. Is this the first time YW have operated ZF Tridents?

YW are good when they maintain their vehicles, even the Presidents were kept in immaculate condition for the age when they started dying out. It's a shame they are moving to WN where they will most likely be ruined.

Yes they are all supposedly moving eventually, will be trickling across over the next few weeks. No because YW had 4425/26 for a brief time as well as 4698 although some may or may not count that, mechanically it counts though.

Any chance of a pic comparison as I've got no idea what you mean.

I agree with you. I like these Tridents with the chrome surroundings around the headlights. It completes the front look.

I've never really noticed that - but the YW Tridents have brighter headlights than other garages Tridents, is this a sign, the original chrome headlights?

The headlamps themselves should really be the same, it's just a chrome ring that goes in to stop anything getting inside and obviously fill in the gap but when the headlights get replaced or repaired they have to come off so most garages just leave them off all the time, laziness. They were all delivered with them fitted though.

Yard key Wood do seem to keep their vehicles in exceptional condition. Thinking back 10 years ago, the Metrobuses they operated were always turned out well and did not seem 20+ years old. The Tridents are mainly used on the same routes as those Metros were (2,18 and 49) so perhaps the routes themselves are ideal for keeping them in good shape. Even the odd trident on the 50 doesn't look too out of place with the 15 reg Enviros.

According to a driver 4590 is now sat at YW too.

The Tridents at YW are used on less demanding routes, compared to say the MMCs on the 50. Maybe this is why they seem to be in better condition. I remember back in 2009/2010, the AG 4517-4534 lot of Gemini's seemed in better nick than the 4635-4679 batch. The interiors always seemed cleaner, in regards to the condition of the seats.

Back when Tridents were used on the 6 & 50, a lot of them were seemingly battered interior wise. The stench of weed, the ripped seats, the reaffirm, although the cleanliness standards have definitely increased since then.
