I would say its a loan too, but just because you saw it on the 70 the night before doesnt automatically mean its a loan.
Buses that transfer will usually work the last day at there old garage and then move during the night and can be ready to take up servive the next morning at there new garage once the blinds are programmed in.

All I can say is the new person doing the allocations likes buses in batches the same as the old one did!
