1644 is really waste money for repaint & Retrim then withdrawn due to engine fire damage! 1644 has Electronic Display will move to other mercs with any T or V reg.

Waste of money? I am sure when they were doing the refurbs on Mercs no-one could have said don't pick 1644 that will catch fire a year after it is refurbed!

I meant Last year 1644 has repaint and new retrim seat with over £1000 pound then till engine fire damage. Tht a lots new condition seats then go scrap tht waste money for new seat.

Yes but 1547 im sure will be in line to be one of the next mercs to be withdrawn from coventry i was just using it as an example

Today 1547 was working on the 2 in night. Its next to 1609/1611. 1609 is reason to withdrawn because problem with noise in rear loud "sound like 'Clap' then few second 'Clap' " similar does 1597 still.

Are they burned Tony? Thought it was engine damage?

Have a look at the photos someone has posted, you will see blackened windows, so seats will certainly be smoke damaged

I'd hazard a guess that the refurbs cost a lot more than £1000
