Would have thought so, but none have been withdrawn from Coventry as yet

Why have 1517 and 1435 been withdrawn?
Because they are old & worn out! why most vehicles get withdrawn.

Today I saw Coventry garage are full buses in garage because too many new buses at here. 5 Double decker/ one single decker bit tight in bendibuses park. 6018 in Coventry garage because there have no space in outside. 586 still with nxwm livery at Coventry garage for awaiting collect it. Mercs and Scanias will start withdrawn/Transferred in next months.
I'm dislike double decker! I love a bendy buses!

Don't ask to me about Double Decker and only talk me for Single Decker and Bendy buses.

Why have 1517 and 1435 been withdrawn? I thought refurbished mercs were safe from the chop at this moment in time

Wonder if 1517 will make a comeback if 508 is a right off which i am sure it will be.

Presume repair budgets for the B6s are quite small.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Does anyone know when the PB/YW B1OL's will be withdrawn ?

I doubt it Stu, as it's parked in the scrappers line at Miller St with a few parts already removed from the front. I suspect 1517 may be there due to a major component failure or something else terminal. I would have thought higher priority would be given to disposing of the non refurbished Mercs from Pensnett first

If Pensnett do need a replacement bus there a few refurbished B6LE is reserve or alternatively one of the latest Mercs withdrawal from WN earmarked to become a trainer could be re-instated to PN (i.e. 1687-9)

One of the withdrawn coventry mercs could be transferred as a temporary replacement may be 1547

Yes, there's all that lot coming free.

Plus forgot earlier the 222 is being reduced in frequency from 9th June, so there should be a spare Enviro 200 free if Pn can muddle though for another two weeks

Also the 289 shortening saves 1 bus.

The reduction in frequency in the 222 won't bring up a spare bus as its to add time to the route also there are a couple of journeys were the frequency is 12 minutes between daytime and peak service on the new timetable so I would assume the branding won't be altered

Thanks for the confirmation Rich, have you seen how bad the damage to 508 is?

Pensnett always seem to muddle through, with a lot of ageing buses, some of the most demanding routes and a desperate need for a few more deckers, so sure loosing a B6 won't be too much of a problem, what is the PVR of the 243/244 anyway?

No idea on the 243/244 Pvr, either way both routes can take Mercs in any case, so as you say with 508 potentially biting the dust, is not really a big deal.....

I'll second that, PN receiving some further double deckers, I think any further new / used Enviro 400 are unlikely, but some refurbished Tridents would be a bonus as an interim measure and could also be used within B'ham City Centre
