Yes I think Northfield bridge is alright, if I remember rightly a while back there was a 9:30 27E from Hawkesley to Northfield which was decker run for a short time.

In that case just cut the route back to Northfield from Hawkesley ;D  Only other issue is where the deckers would actually come from unless some more Tridents are displaced.

Will double deckers also safely clear the bridge by Northfield station?

Not sure; it looks a close fit actually.
