126 Birmingham to Wolverhampton

[Trident 4609]

Saw 5510 on the 126 tonight by the old Hen and Chickens at Causeway Green at 7.50pm. I drive the Wolverhampton Rd all the time and this is the first Hybrid I've ever seen on the route - is it a rarity or am I missing something?

Happens quite common during evenings/Late afternoons and are usually taken off WN 59 to replace a broken down bus. A couple of B5's have operatwd in the day aswell and E400H have appeared too

I can think if a way to improve 126 reliability

In 1995 a 125/126 joint frequency of 6 min between Dudley-Wolverhampton
Then every 12 min to Birmingham

Both was on Seperate boards so if the 126 was held up in Birmingham

125 journeys would not be affected

Would still get caught up in the Hagley Rd/Brum city centre traffic

Plus the Wolverhampton-Dudley section can also caused delays at peak times

There's already an express 126, it's called the 210/410

If it was truly express and did not stop between Wolverhampton & Dudley, then a little time could be gained by sitting in the outside lane in heavy/slow moving traffic. The benefits would be minimal otherwise

Just throwing it out there, but how about three separate services:
- Wolves to Dudley
- Dudley to Brum
- Brum to Wolves express (possibly avoiding Dudley)
