Personally I think taking the 48 away from the QE is disgusting, with the high amount of elderly users who use the 48 to get to and from the QE for appointments. I understand with the X2** services being 'fast and frequent', but the 48 being moved away shocked me. Another one of the changes I can't see going down well at all.

It stops something like a 2 minute walk away. And the station stops are classed as part of the QE interchange as well.
& it's probably to make the route more reliable for the majority of passengers who use it as well.

Again if you read my comment where I purely and quite clearly stated that the 48 has a lot of elderly users who rely on that bus for hospital appointments, which I'm sure for a lot of them it's not a '2 minute walk' like you state. No need to be pedantic, it may be part of the "QE Interchange" but it's not exactly in front of the main entrance to the QE like the bus terminal is it?

6701 makes a return on Coventry Road services, from going on 900/957, to now the X2

Quote from: Steve3229vp on June 01, 2025, 05:54:40 PMI've been using the 934/5/6/7 for years and I always did wonder about how much NX was losing, there were some parts of the day when they were more than half empty. It was always over bussed between Walsall and Beacon Hill with 6 buses an hour.

Tony, I seem to recall some time ago that the old 995/996/997 also lost revenue as well.

Wasn't it just as bad, when they increased the 77 to every 10 (?) mins years ago?

this was just as bad when the 98/X64 changed to the X20/X21 - outrage was huge. i don't see why they don't just get rid of the car park around the inside (no-ones allowed to use it for more than 10 minutes), configure that for taxis and cars, and let buses use the existing road.

QuoteLots of angry people around Kingstanding, Pheasey and Streetly kicking off about the changes.

Also nice to see in true TfWM that hardly any flags in the areas mentioned have been changed for tomorrow, or timetables at some stops! Going to be alot of confused and angry people on Monday!
I look forward to local complaints tomorrow when the 48A doesn't arrive. I haven't seen any of the bud flags or timetables updated as of yet

Personally I think the 934 should have stayed because the 936 going across its entire route, I think they should have kept the 934 but with the same adjustments as the current 936. It's just a bit unnecessary.

I suppose, what isnt helping, according to a recent Mark Fitchew blog, services are on diversion in the area as well.

I honestly hate people who moan about Bus Changes they usually don't use them as passengers who do will know the changes in advance and plan likewise for example the occasional time I Caught the 40 from Willenhall/Lodge Farm to Wolverhampton I knew it was going so I either walked to Willenhall Maccies or caught the 41/37 to Willenhall and caught the 529. Passengers who get these routes won't notice much difference to there journey, I'm convinced people moan when they lose a Bus service from there road cus there convinced it affects there house price having a bus right outside rather than 1-3 minutes away which 90% of times is better than most of the country especially the Countryside and Rural areas.

I've just been at the QE. the amount of people still expecting the 48 to show at the main entrance is disgsuting.

No information about the changes anywhere on the bus stops. One of the posters still dates from 2023. Definitely needs to be a improvement by WMCA and NX on how information is shared to passengers.

That's extremely poor. And yet some people hate those who moan about bus service changes.

Might be worth complaining to whichever local councillor is due to attend next weeks Transport Delivery meeting (they might not be aware of the issue) especially as it is such a major interchange. It may lead to them pulling their fingers out on stop changes for a change.

I'll take a look, if I go back home via the QE (which I'm trying to avoid as these changes have made going that way longer)  I'll take some photos so they could share them at the meeting.
