I've just looked at the TfWM for new timetables starting 1st June, 2025 and this is what I found:

934, 935 both withdrawn.
936 to run all day replacing 934 to Walsall and serving Frampton Way, every 30 mins Mon to Sat, every 20 minutes in peaks and hourly evenings and Sunday
937 will now serve Rough Road and George Frederick Road, every 30 mins Mon to Sat, every 20 minutes in peaks and hourly evening and Sundays.

936/937 every 15 mins to Kingstanding, every 10 mins in peaks.

997 Frampton Way no longer served.
998 NEW replacing 997 shorts but also not serving Frampton Way, then Hundred Acre to Hardwick Arms.

Frequency similar to the present 997 timetable.
Strange how the new '998' isn't an 'X98'. all '9**' moved on to 'X' when the opportunity came.

I though that as well, I would have gone with X36, X37 intstead of 936, 937 and X38 and X39 instead of 997, 998.

Might this be because they call at two stops on New Town Row whilst the X51 does not?  At least Royal Mail workers know that the X service won't stop but the 900s will.

I think the "X" buses will become myth once franchising begins

Seems like the X2 is getting a timetable tweak, possibly a interwork with the 5?

Doubt it the X2 is every 20 and terminates at the station, the 5 is every 30 and terminates in the town centre.

I notice the final journey of the day will now terminate at Yardley Swan. Are the School days journeys going to AG as well?

49/76 terminus moving to Solihull Town Centre, calling at stand h on Blossomfield road on the way out.

77 77A also rerouted to Serve Dafodill road then follow 935 route to Kingstanding Circle. Then rough road to normal line of route.

Service 78 rerouted to Serve Blackwood Road.

No X20 timetable yet.
I have a feeling the X21/X22 timetable haven't been finished yet.
But you also normally see a uni timetable reduction around juneish time as most uni students have finished there and the route goes back to carrying air.

From what I've been told all the X2 journeys are going to AG, but we will find out more about that soon.

Carrying air is a bit of an exaggeration. Also don't forget they still provide a link to the biggest hospital in the West Midlands.

The X21/X22 timetables starting on 1st June are already on the TfWM website so they have been finalised.

X39 could be confusing for passengers who aren't the brightest thinking it is an an express version of the 39 Walsall - Stowlawn Bus emitting the Manor Hospital and skipping Herberts Park for example it does now mean the 997 has lost it's highest route number in the country to another NX service the new 998.

How can it be? For a start the 39 and 997 don't serve the same bus stations and do completely different routes and completely different directions to each other. I don't see people in Sutton struggling with the WB 5 and the X5 stopping next to each other. Or when Birmingham had the 31 stopping literally round the corner from the X31...

I'm happy they are keeping the 9** numbers and not making them X cause yes they are limited stops but not express at all, the X51 is express.

How has it lost its highest route number to a 998 its still the highest is it not ?

Looking at TfWM timetables, the Coventry 20 appears to have a route change between Bedworth and George Elliot Hospital, using Coventry Road and College Street rather than Griff Way
