According to busmiles, I've rode 51% of the Diamond West Midlands fleet, so a lot of Diamond buses, and most of my drivers have been fine. There's obviously going to be a few bad ones, but I've also rode 24% of the NXWM fleet and there's also a few bad ones there.
I'm on about how the drivers take no notice of speed limits ie doing 40mph plus in 30mph limits and the do not give way to other drivers as they just barge there way through. I spoke to one of the mechanics a couple of years ago and he said there buses were rubbish and allways breaking down. I prefer the good old days of WMPTE.

As a resident of the "Wordsley and Stourbridge" area, I use the 17 and 25 multiple times a week and I'm not under the impression Diamond are dodgy or any worse than NX

So you are basing the entirety of diamond
Where they run into Birmingham, Kidderminster, redditch, walsall, Worcester, heathrow, burton and more based on a few routes Routes such as 17,57,88,142/A,226,226A and a few other routes within those areas

I'm just saying about when I see them on the road around Wordsley and Stourbridge area. I hardly ever go on a bus as I don't need too.

So then the issue isnt the drivers its an issue of chance

Well it's the drivers who press the accelerator and ignore the speed limits. So what do you think !!!
This whole thing is becoming a little bit boring !!!!!

Ok but you said you dont get the bus often
So its more a issue of chance as you may or may not get a bad driver over the driver being bad
Also your little sample size of 3 or 4 drivers over 8 months or whatever it may be isnt a good indication on if drivers are bad or good

Yes because you seem to be complaining... if it's that much of an issue you'd contact the company directly but instead you want to moan on an enthusiasts forum.

*Accelerator

Are you sure they are speeding? As all vehicles are tracked in terms of speed etc. or is it the way they maneuver the vehicle to give the feeling of speed. I use diamond around kingswinford and never felt they sped

How do you know they are ignoring the speed limits? Unless you're nosing over the driver's shoulder at the dashboard, which you shouldn't be doing either.

Buses have vehicle tracking and monitoring systems in place, I find it highly unlikely that any driver (for any company) would willingly break speed limit restrictions.

If you can provide evidence to support your claims, then please report it to the bus operator in question directly. I won't have people making unsubstantiated and baseless claims on this forum.
