what i mean is a paying passenger is always better than a non paying passenger in the managers eyes

really dont understand what is wrong with my statement, or rude, (nothing offensive or irrelevant to buses said correct me if im wrong) bit anyway if fare evasion wasnt a issue in the west midlands there wouldnt be teams of orange hi-vis checking peoples tickets on the 74!

other cities in the UK dont have inspectors because the people there dont walk on buses and threaten drivers once challenged, if they do its very rare not common enough to warrant inspectors

these inspectors are a good thing as well, helps drivers to focus on their jobs driving and makes them worry abt ticketing less, for example i once showed my daysaver upside down and didnt notice and the driver didnt even tell me it was upside down. revenue would have confirmed that my ticket was indeed valid.

despite scanners slowing down journey times at major interchanges and costing money to implement i believe it would be a decent idea

it makes the driver notice a invalid ticket easier as it will go BEEP! compared to showing where the driver cant see whether its a adult or child ticket if the person is a fast walker.

it also helps fish out the fare dodgers as everyone is queuing* (*not in birmingham everyone just pushes) on one side 

ye it will cost, but @Tony has the option of scanners been explored and wt is the result?

Because a handful of "long-standing members" seem to think that the Forum Rules don't apply to them.
