4718-4727 have different engines to 4728 upwards, I believe the engine in 4586 is the same as 4728+

I thought 4718-4727 were almost exactly the same as 4728+ apart from the rear upper deck window, ticket printer location and seating config. What are the differences in the engines?

4718-27 have a euro 4 engine, the others are the euro4+ engine which is what was put in the refurbished Tridents

They're still all basically Cummins IBCE engines though, with emissions 'enhancements'?

Yeah, I get that there will be differences with air intake and fuel injection piping arrangements, as well as other 'engine ancilliaries'.

But 'at the core' its the same Cummins engine, before people start getting excited and arguing about which one is better, as they do with automatic gearboxes!

Yes, E003 and E014 have been debranded and have received some new red vinyls.

I hope the 50 drivers get the diversion in Digbeth correct, some of them turning into Cheapside is a tad tight for them.
