Remember these being decent to drive when i worked for NX, shame their being sold on

The Real 4777

Guess it's time, like the end of loco-hauled travel or the end of ex-Midland Red, the Metrobus or Fleetlines. Time to seek out and scratch the diesel buses one last time as they're wiped out by the battery scourge.

Quote from: frostjay974 on June 02, 2024, 10:16:13 PMI never saw the point with the inter working of the 12s and 13s I also don't remember the 120 having this issue when it had single deckers as its main allocation for so many years
Also, the 120 never served Portland Road

Quote from: Jack on June 03, 2024, 02:24:44 AMThe 120 always worked when it was every 10 minutes with single deckers, it's only since they've messed them round, renumbered them and interworked them and messed the frequency they now struggle. Shouldn't have messed with something that wasn't broke.
The reason why the 12/A were re-routed via Portland Road was because of how packed buses were on this section already. It's now a 7/8 minute frequency along that corridor, and buses are still rammed

12/12A/13/13A are now a lot busier between brum and bear tavern than in years gone by, big rise in student visa folks, sundays on the 13A some journeys full now never known that in all my years doing the job.

one key advantage of leasing there are no issues with disposing of vehicles after the term is done, so i assume 15 year leases then on all diesels from 2008 then, Tony was maintenance part of the lease as well

With 4817 leaving, poor busboy31 will not have "his bus" anymore. Will his name be transferred to another bus?

Very odd business decision to lease just that batch, probably nothing to do with it but was it around the time when Stagecoach were sniffing about the take over of the NX group

That could have something to do with it, I remember NX not been as financially sound then compared to a few years after

Presumably the leased scanias are of the same era? Is it the 09 plates or the 2010 ones?
