It would be stupid to have a tree reflector on a single deck and I've never heard of a bus having one or seen one before and I can't see one on this photo either.

What do people think about this company? On the 636 they seem to be quite busy when I've seen them even when they're operating with NXWM on weekdays. I wonder if they will stop the 636 route when NXWM do or give competition and start a 98/99 route.

I wonder why during half term such as this week they only operate the 64 route but not the 50A and 558?

It must be because the 64 is only ran by Green Bus, so no other service is available, as the 558 will be covered by NXWM on the 1 between Dudley and Wolverhampton, and the 50A has the 50 to Maypole.

OK thanks for that.

There timetable seems odd as they seem to run all over the place but mostly around every 30 minutes with breaks in between. I don't use this operator except when it was the first 11 Bus to turn up so I got on it and there was only one other passenger but it was a speedy little Dart and even overtook two busy NXWM 11C'S which was great as it got to my destination quickly.

It will be good to have another bus running from Northfield to QE Hospital st there is nothing in the evening and weekends and will give the 64 Green Bus competition so what bus will people use but with the £1.00 fare should draw people to the Green Bus. I wonder if they will expand and operate any more routes? The 006 they operated wasn't successful though as it only really had a couple of elderly passengers using it.

Every time I travel or see the 417 it's never got many people on it, only a few and the fact they use Royale Centro's is pointless. I mean an Optare Solo could operate this route just about.

I use the 002 regularly and this route should be introduced on Sundays and I'm sure many people would use it to go shopping in Merry Hill. I think there was a 002 bus service on a Sunday ages ago probably operated by Ludlows but this stopped after a short while I think and to extend it to Northfield would boost it even more as people can then go to Halesowen and Merry Hill.

I know it's confusing for people having different coloured buses turning up on a route, it would be good if they did the entire company in one coloured livery for red/black and blue diamond or re-paint the buses in red diamond and red and white into black diamond. The urban 90 seats are horrible and so uncomfortable to sit on. The seats on 30808 and 30809 are really comfy. I do like their branding on buses which is good for the routes. Do they have any other route branding apart from Nifty 50 and Double O2 currently?

Found this photo on Facebook of Nifty 50 30801 - does anyone know about it? As this is why it must have been off for a while.

There was an old red and white Diamond bus on the 417 today but forgotten the exact number.

For the people who use Green Bus, I wonder what is your favourite and worst bus of their fleet?
My favourite and probably a lot of peoples is the Metrobus as its great to still be able to travel on these and Green Bus Company have done them up really well and the interior looks good and I love the noise they make. My least favourite bus has to be the Volvo D10M as these look awful from the outside, really old and the height in them is terrible.

It would be a good idea to extend the 29A to Northfield by still going through Shenley Fields which would mean Northfield will be served by an increased frequency. The 29 and 29A seems to be useless at the moment with other people saying the same thing as it is often running late meaning a big gap from one bus to another so along wait.

Rotala / Hansons
June 06, 2012, 03:28:31 PM
Just thought i'd start a new topic on Hansons to see what others think of this company overall. It's great that they've acquired a new service 004 to and from Harborne to Merry Hill which people are happy to have back and today I traveled on one of there Enviro 200's which was a well looked after bus and someone was saying if the 004 is successful then it could be increased to every 20 minutes and when I got on the bus in Harborne it was very busy and more popular than I thought it would have been for a new route.

When I saw these buses it was about 2.00pm, I saw the nifty 50 leave town pretty full which was very busy, on 31479 there was about 6-8 people and the cadet was empty so that's strange that they've been running around together for a while as it's a bit pointless and are there 5 buses that operate on the 50 in the day? I wonder what happened to the other nifty 50 buses, were they being used on other routes?
