I imagine there would be loads of places in the West Midlands, such as Merry Hill, especially on Sundays, B7RLEs can be seen there. Also London must be a great place

Just wondering the main UK locations that people travel to for train spotting and photography. I quite like Shrewsbury, cause you get a good amount of sprinters and cordias and Birmingham New Street's always good for train spotting

1601 on 83 in Brum - this should be unusual now with Euro 3. And a President at Moor St on 73.

Presidents in the 73 are ok, because the frequency is only every 30 mins. Mercs on the 83/89 seem to be ok as well, even though there's a combined frequency every 15 mins

4350 was on the 2 today, possible transfer or on loan from Central to Yardley Wood.

Pretty sure it was on the 35 yesterday

Here is the link to the Video of 805

Thanks for uploading Rob. They sound great, gear changing sounds seem a bit different to that of Arrivas examples

When the hybrids come, early tridents (41**, 43**) could transfer to Yardley Wood to replace some presidents, or to BC but I'm not sure whether BC need anymore tridents

To me, the easiest solution would be to withdraw Spectras when the hybrids arrive, or cascade mercs to WB and PE to withdraw R and S reg mercs

Personally I think the spectras and some tridents will be moved to other routes, with some tridents being transferred to other garages.

WN's amount of deckers is fine, where they use them is where the problem lies.

Routes 11, and the 32/33 just need full size singles, B7RLE would be great, but 0405Ns would do the job.

That way, the routes that need deckers can be certain of deckers all the time.

EDIT: Presidents being withdrawn this year is news to me.

I heard from someone that presidents and mercs are being withdrawn this year

Could Spectras possibly be withdrawn? With tridents just being moved onto spectra routes, if presidents are being withdrawn this year, Spectras are sure to follow

B6LEs aren't that bad, they suit some park lane routes perfectly, I.e. 62/A
I imagine this being the end of solos at WN

I like the Jewellery Quarter and Spring Road stations :)

Spring Road isn't really a station though, though it is very quaint! It is literally two ramps from the bridge on Spring Road down to the platforms, with a shed for the 'ticket office'.  ::)

Yeah, I've gone off Spring Road a bit after my photography visit last week  :-\. Widney Manor on the other hand, is great, nicely placed and built ticket office, cosy waiting room, pretty big car park. Probably everything you'd want in a train station
