46 will have 2 separate services basically, Londonderry to Scott Arms and West Bromwich to Pheasey. Both with a 30 minute frequency to keep the frequency of 15 minutes between West Bromwich and Scott Arms. PVR of 6.

By my amateur calculations:

Londonderry to Scott Arms 40 minutes
Scott Arms to Londonderry 41 minutes
Layover of 9 minutes (2 minutes at Scott Arms, 7 minutes in Londonderry)

West Bromwich to Pheasey 36 minutes
Pheasey to West Bromwch 37 minutes
Layover of 17 minutes (7 minutes in Pheasey, 10 minutes in West Brom)

So theres no actual through journeys then of the full route?

Not according to the notice on the bus windows, seems to give the impression it's how uniquicity described it

10 minutes may be a fair bit but it's at west brom bus station, so about 5 mins sat in the middle and another 5 at the bus stop seems pretty normal from what I see

That bit "round the back and beyond" to Hurley always makes me wonder why they dont just have a local service from Tamworth for those villages, and leave the Birmingham (and if necessary, Coleshill and Airport) services to have a relatively straight, and therefore much quicker, run through

Stagecoach / Re: How big is stagecoach is Coventry

Would have thought that Midland Red was bigger in Coventry in the old days. As well as the current Stagecoach routes, there was also the 900 (159 then)....

Preparing to be shot down in flames for this, but.... Anyone think Stagecoach could make a decent attempt at competing on the 900? Especially if they did it properly and actually made it express like their cov-leam routes

1845 (leather seated) and 1836 on the 904/905 today all throughout the afternoon
Don't know if this is THAT rare but I don't really see Omnilinks that often on the Sutton Lines, let alone 2 and one of them a leather-seated one.

usual on sundays but not during the week that much

Anybody think NX may go for some single decker hybrids soon?

Not really, they've got enough new singles now, need to concentrate on the double decker fleet

Heard it today and I know what you mean, got annoying after only a few minutes

I tried for a photo, was on the old railway bridge over the road at the time so was just a bit too far away to get a decent shot, plus i had no idea how to get down to road level...

shame really, quite handy bus stops for new street they were

For the most part though, the diamond hybrids look just like a normal diamond bus (livery wise), which to me makes a lot of sense, identifies it as being a diamond bus, unlike NX using green for theirs.....
.........that said, this is diamond, they have about 47 different liveries on all their other buses

Very much agree with you post 4006 my point on B5's are that people feel they are slow, no doubt due to the driver not understanding the gear box (and driving with it rather than against it) and the fact they have 12 speed boxes. If they are driven correctly though they will out accelerate most buses due to the instant torque given by batteries and developing torque from Diesel engine. From a drivers prospective, I feel they are quick accelerators under the correct conditions.

Had a feeling that was the case, managed to travel on 5515 and 5518 today and although they were quick getting going on electric power, there was a substantial wait before the diesel kicked in

4553 - 2 (usually b7rle)
1902 - 69 (don't recall seeing omnilinks on it in Walsall)
598 - 81 (usually mercs?)
2067 - 25, granted there is no usual type on this route, just seems strange actually putting a new bus on it

2065 sat in Compton this afternoon with part of the rear drivers-side bodywork hanging off
