Why on earth are they branding minis for the 40? Thought that was one route they bought the lwb E200s for in the first place? He'll there's even been deckers on there recently

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but why is Pensnett not called Dudley Garage? As there was once a Dudley garage just not sure if it was anywhere near the current Pensnett garage is.

Because Dudley garage was in Dudley and Pensnett garage is in Pensnett

Although technically it's not in Pensnett as Pensnett is in Brierley Hill DY5 and the depot it is Kingswinford DY6.

That's where you're wrong as Pensnett isn't even a town it's a village. You try looking up any address in Pensnett village and it will come up on royal mail as Brierley Hill. even the DVLA say Pensnett is part of Brierley Hill.

Pensnett was even in the former Brierley Hill council area.

Yep, OK I agree Pensnett was part of Brierley Hill when Brierley Hill had its own UDC, mind go back before that and the town was part of Kingswinford, not just the Industrial Estate

The present Pensnett covers a small portion of what was a large common called Pensnett Chase in Kingswinford parish, but contiguous with Dudley Wood in Dudley. As such, it belonged to the lords of the manor, descending as part of the Dudley estate from medieval times. With Dudley Wood, it is probably the woodland mentioned in the Domesday Book, as belonging to those manors.[1]

The name is from the Celtic 'pen', for hill and the Anglo-Saxon 'snaed' for 'a piece of woodland'.[2] For many years, it was used as commonland, for animal grazing although also a hunting reserve of the lords of Dudley.[3] Pensnett Chase was inclosed, under the Pensnett Chase Inclosure Act of 1784. This reserved mining rights to the lord of the manor, but included a clause to compensate people for mining subsidence,[4] indicating the industry was well established in the area. The mining of coal and ironstone was long established, and probably goes back to medieval times.
