Just for the record, 4304 was working on the 904 Falcon Lodge this afternoon.

Last Saturday, I was in Wellington (Telford).  I needed to get to Telford itself, and I knew from a past visit that I wanted the 44 from Wellington bus station, which is frequent, pretty much direct via Oakengates, and takes around 20 minutes.  But there was a 55 at a stand in Wellington bus station with "Telford Town Centre" on the display, so I thought why not, and hopped on that.

When I eventually got to Telford about an hour later, having travelled through Hadley, Trench, Donnington, Wrockwardine Wood and Trench again, and that was before even getting as far as Oakengates ......

At one point in the journey, I noticed I passed the same row of shops I'd passed about 10 minutes previously, but going in the other direction ...  :D :D :D

You will see the 902 and 905 (and the 904 I guess) extended - but only very slightly, and probably in about 5 years time, as and when they build all those new housing estates on the green belt in the arc between Watford Gap and Minworth ......  ;D

Kevin, my observations yesterday:

Birmingham bound services - two buses seen using the new route
Tamworth bound services - two buses seen using the old Riland Road route and one seen using the new route!!

Be interesting to see what your mate says!

Just for the record, 66756 noted going up the Sutton Park line towards Walsall mid-morning, hauling 66709.

And not long after 97304 "John Tiley" went south, light engine.

What I suggested appears to have come to pass!  Whether temporary or permanent, I don't know, but the Arriva 110 and the NXWM 904 were certainly using Rectory Road under the rail bridge as a "bypass" of Riland Road this lunchtime.

Thing is, with the 110, I noted two services using Riland Road, and three services using Rectory Road direct!! :D

From what I could see, though, no bus-stop signs have been amended in Riland Road.  Anyone know what's going on?

Has anyone seen it yet?

Training bus 9525, (which Tony's photo site shows as based at Wigston), was on the A5 this morning at Stonydelph, and it looked like it headed off the M42 roundabout straight on towards Dordon.

I've travelled the 900 from Birmingham to Coventry three or four times this summer on Saturday mornings, and there's certainly been plenty of boarders for the service in Meriden, in both directions ........

I'd agree the 900 could do with speeding up, however, and I agree the mini diversions up to Parkhill and through Allesley could be cut out, being replaced by strengthened / diverted Coventry routes 7 and 10.

I also wonder if the number of stops within the Birmingham and Coventry boundaries couldn't be cut back to make the 900 more of an "Express" service.

Just my 2c worth ....
