Saw this in Blackheath around half 4 and wondered what it was doing, think the driver was following the 140 route to get into the City
Also 2 Enviro's 4826 and another on 140/241 boards this evening however sadly the 241 just missed the school run trip out of Halesowen I was on that was packed all the way to Dudley

It's not very unusual to see an Enviro400 on the X51 :) there's at least a Trident or Enviro on there every day or at least every other day I'd say.
And B7RLE's are becoming more common on the 31A and 97 too, though I'm sure they haven't updated the display on them for the 97 yet , I saw one still displaying '97 - Helmswood Drive' not long ago :o

Why is it that WN's hybrids are showing up all over the place when BC's hybrids rarely ever stray from the 22/23/24?
It may be because BC consider most of their other routes as too rough for a nearly new bus or that those other routes are too demanding in terms of driving style dependant on things like whether a route has dual carridgeways for example.
Changing the subject and still slightly off topic but does anybody know which PB B7 ALXs are in the sutton area today?

Appeared on the 126 too don't forget. It just seems like they're not as strict with the allocation as BC are, I think its only the very few times that one appeared on the 97 not long after they first arrived that they've ever strayed off the 22/23/24 to my knowledge, but I might be wrong.

Apparently soon after the Hybrids arrived at BC one operated on the 97 and on the 900E on the same day. BC received irrate phonecalls from senior NXWM officials (presumably either at Bordsley or Digbeth) demanding to know why this had happened and making it clear they considered this unacceptable.

BU57 Enviro on 101?
That is unusual, even for a Sunday
4477 on the 33
4680 on the X51 - perhaps not unusual in itself but as it interworks with the 935 on Sunday that means there was a Gemini on the 935, don't recall seeing that before

Geminis on the X51/935A happen regually.
Adding to the post about the X51 and 935A sunday service. 4680 and 4682 were on the 851 today along with 4870 and 4871 and 4874 (before anybody pipes up its additional knowledge)
4767 was on the 997 today
The 301 and 302 was all omnilinks today
Also have WA stopped using B6s on the 7 and 70 on a sunday

What I understand even less is why the 246 is every 20 minutes with Enviro400s on a Sunday, whilst the 140/241 is every hour with B7RLEs
the 276 has a couple of mercs because of an evening the 243 and 244s are operated on the 276 running boards, and drivers have complained that the timbertree is a little to tight on a night to operate b7s, so most of the time the mercs on the 276 will go onto the 243 or 244 then operate another 276. pn do try and keep away from operating b7s on 243 running boards.
weekdays, saturdays and sundays in the day time 243 running boards operate the 243/244s on an evening there are normally 2 243 runing boards and 276 running boards covering 243/244 and 276s.

Branded ones shouldn't be on there. Hence why I pointed out for people like you who probably don't know which ones are branded.
Branded buses off route thread springs to mind
This is why having different threads for various "unusual, off route branded, rare, loaned buses, unheard of workings, impossible workings, workings that should never happen, workings that only happen once, rare workings in Walsall, rare workings in Bilston, unusual Workings in Wolverhampton, workings we are unlikely to see again, workings that happen everyday etc...!" just confuses people as nobody knows where to post. Should just pick one topic for allocations that aren't normal and stick to it for ease.

E400H have never appeared on the 59 before now only B5's have operated so E400H on the 59 is very unusual.
5515 is branded for the 1 and shouldn't be on the 59. I do know the allocations of The 59
as its my local routes. 5510-14 are part of the 59 allocation now.

I'm glad somebody gets it :P Its true though all it does is clutter up the forum when one topic does just as good a job!
Well i already posted it in the Branded Buses Off route thread.
5413 (E400H) is unusual on the 59 as it has only happened once and probably won't happen anytime soon.
The E400H are usually on the 1 98/99% of the time and have only done the 59 and 126 once.

But the fact it is branded for a certain route and therefore doesn't see much time off that route makes it unusual for it to appear on a different route?
Well i used to think the same but when i thought branded buses off route i always got told it wasn't unusual.

Actually, Mercs would be allowed on the 141 no problem, as the frequency is every 30 mins (2 buses per hour). The emissions ruling applies only to routes with 3 or more buses per hour (every 20mins or less). Thinking about it, Mercs would be fine on the 140 too, as that is every 30 mins during the daytime, with the exception of peak times, when there are extra buses added, so the frequency increases slightly.

B7RLE's are not that unusual on the 301 although the allocation is Omnilinks. The 4/4H/4M have more priority for Omnilinks it seems

What's usual about Tridents appearing on the 25/25A when they now appear & are reported daily.
Since WN have had all the hybrids in service, double deckers now seem to form part of the allocation, similar with 28
I know that the 11/32/33 have gained tridents with the hybrids in service and your right it is a more common allocation on the 25 but it looks odd for some reason. The 25 Does not need Double Deckers though. The 25 route usually has a big mixture of B7RLE's (Sometimes Mon-Sat and Main Allocation Sundays) Tridents,Mercs and B6's and whats left of the Excels.
The 28 now has B6's, Excels, and Spectras. Tridents are not as common though.

I believe that Tridents on the X51 is quite regular.
Usually Gemini/Enviro normal workings, anything spare in garage, usually tridents, peak workings.
In other news, 48xx Enviro on the 10A spotted in Walsall not too long ago.
Omnilink on the 39 Walsall
4463 (97 branded) - 59
Enviro 400H 5412 on Route 59 today! (Only the second time a E400H has been on the 59, the first time being 5413 on bank holiday monday so first E400H on the 59 mon-fri)
Also 2017 on WN27A
582-53 then taken off at merry hill, due to a windscreen wiper problem, and for some reason this bus smelt of fire :o :o :o
1847 never really comes off the 952 so its something different. Haven't seen omnicity dd's on Sutton lines for a while then two the same day. More good spots rob
Enviro 400 on the 276, think it was 4814.

Well, each to their own, I wouldn't go out of my way for it but an Urban 2 fan might
Not that unusual to get B7RLE's on the 126. If a trident breaks down only a B7RLE or Hybrid could cover (Only other buses at WN compliant to the emmisions zone) so thats why the E400H also appear on the 126

Or could it be that my suggestion is right that the B6's have transferred from Coventry to WN to replace the last 2 Excels. As i said if its a peak running board then its not unusual as i live near the 59 route and see a B6 on the peak running board most days now.
No I'm sure we would've heard something about it if it had been transferred, besides it'd need repainting, new blinds, ticket machine reprogrammed etc

662 is only likely to receive a front end repaint in to NXWM red before transfer, CV would have removed its ticket machine from 662 and a WN one fitted upon receipt

I saw the Trident on the 4, but missed the hybrid. I thought I'd seen something really unusual.
I can also second that 662 was on the 59. It looked fresh from a partial repaint and when I saw it, I thought I'd check because of it being blue and being allocated to CV.
Was it on the peak 59/14 running board departing The bus station at 15:18 or the peak board this morning. If so B6's at Peak time is not unusual.
Yeah just to add 632 was on the 62 so wss not the bus seen on the 59
yes i saw it l.ooked twice as its not unusual for a walsall b6 to be in wolves bus station. when it turned round it had 59 on display, and looked quite smart too smart not to have been repainted at the front. could one of these be at wn to replace the b6 596? which was withdrawn within a few weeks of being transferred

I was under the impression that the last of the Excels would be withdrawn following all the Hybrids entering service & the X1 being withdrawn. I also thought all of the remaining early Tridents would have gone by now i.e. 4135, 4310-4312? Unless plans have changed?

Possibly? Due to the 6 x Mercs going in to the training fleet instead?
In : 21 x Hybrids
Out (either withdrawal/transferred):
Excels - 684, 706 & 708 (3)
Mercs 1543, 1545, 1546 & 1549, 1687-1692 (10)
Tridents - 4305-9, 4384/5 (7)
So that is 21 in, 20 out (to date) plus the WN's Pvr should have now reduced by two following the withdrawal of the X1, so I make it WN still has 3 extra buses.
I assume YW will still need another Trident to allow 4122 to be released to Dundee

Wondered why there was only one hybrid on the 59 today which was 5514. It should actually be 18 hybrids on the 1 (A 19th in the garage for an afternoon peak board) and two unbranded B5's on the 59.
But as it's Wolverhampton... it never is ;)

What about maintainance, being new the buses probably require very little, but i can see it becoming 19 Hybrids on the 1 and 2 at garage for maintainance.

Plus the fact there appear to have been a few teething problems with some of the E400Hs, presumably if they are one or two short the 1 would get priority over the 59.
1694 worked a rare 775 school service this morning, always a double decker of some sort (WB)

Is 502 on the 53 unusual?
It normally Mercs on the 53, but you tend to get the odd B6 from time to time.
Well most days last week the 59 had 3 hybrids and the 1 had a spectra/trident on it.
Most of the time the two spare hybrids DO go onto the 59. From what a few drivers have told me they put them on the 59 because they don't want them to sit around in the garage so because the route is so frequent if a bus breaks down on the 1, they can take it off the 59.

Everytime i see it its a merc with the odd B7RLE so B6's i guess are unusual.

I think 711 has been withdrawn now 662 is in service at WN but 687 should be on the 28 if you want to catch it.

687 on 28 today, seen.
(Obviously not unusual)
I know its not unusual but recently the 79 seems to be mostly trident operated probably due to the recent introduction of the hybrids and the spectra's being unreliable for one of Wolverhampton's longest journeys.
I got 687, last ever excel in wolvo

Probably because more spectras are on the 59 and other routes like the 25/27/27A/28 etc.

Doesn't happen very often anymore. Mainly B10L and B7RLE Mon-Sat with B6's lso on saturdays. It is actually rarw to get tridents on the 69 weekdays and they only appear the odd saturday

Well on the last bank holiday (Mon 6th May) I spotted a president on there. Do AG still follow Sunday Allocations on Bank holiday?
All operators and garages operate their bank holiday services to sunday timetables, why would AG be exempt?

I wasn't on about the timetable i was just saying The sunday allocations is B7RLE'S and Omnilink on AG 1 however The last bank holiday we had (Mon 6) presidents operated on there so i wondered why there was a double decker on there if it should be a single deck? Plus a gemini was reported today.
As i don't live near Birmingham so i wouldn't know, How often do double deckers turn up on AG1 on a sunday?
Doubles on the 1 on Sunday are quite rare now.
And there were 2 Geminis on there yesterday.
