4839 was in Earlsdon at around 17:20 parked up with the hazards on displaying 27A on the destination display! Presumably broken down as there was nobody on it and the engine was also off.

See, that is where you are wrong, same as saying all the new buses have broken down. It was late out of garage on a peak 12 board, so ran to Earlsdon private and started a 12 journey there at 17:27 before finishing the running board off
But 4838 did break down whilst on the 21 earlier in the day before going onto the 12 didn't it? Because it was replaced by 2168.

Just because a bus was swapped, doesn't mean that the bus necessarily broke down....

That's correct Nathan, dog mess, vomit, wanted in garage for an exam can all be reasons for a bus being taken off service as well as breakdowns and several other reasons

I am aware of that, but I was told 4838 cut out that day on the 21 then wouldn't start until the third attempt then started making a terrible hissing noise, that's why it was swapped for 2168, so I was told.

Have the last laugh Lauren 4839 has failed outside Sainsbury's on the 21, no it went off empty with a police car in tow you'll have to await for another day could be tomorrow before it fails again.
When was that? And why was there a police car in tow if it had broken down? And that's why I thought it had failed the other day when it was parked with it's hazards on lol as it usually does fail!

I broke down with 4855 this morning while on the 16. The electrics in the dash went again, I was unable to move or even turn the engine/wipers off.

Missed an hour in service, got 4262 as a replacement. At least 3 times this has happened with 4855

Dayum, I think they should sort that bus out and replace the electronics and stuff.

Another 4839 then? Not surprising as they're both from the same batch.
That batch is the most unreliable.

Got all the figures have you? Know any lemons from other batches around the West Midlands?

No thought not, neither do I, but I do know when I do full fleet checks two or three times a week, far less of that batch are in the garage than many other batches of buses. In fcat it is very rare for any of Walsall's of that batch to be in the garage in the peak

4241 broken down on Chester Road opposite the Jag at 1.30pm Thursday causing gridlock and making me late for work. Do Mansfield have a target on their recovery times or is it however long it takes?

4512 having a bit of trouble on a 128 from Bham at the stop after Five ways when I went past at 8:30. Was parked up with hazards on, no driver in the cab and all the lights off. There were a couple of people in orange high vis making themselves comfortable on the back seats.
I'm on Flickr and Youtube

4376 was been towed through Perry Barr this evening, around 6.15

4450 had a problem with the gearbox tonight whilst on the 11.
It was suddenly over revving and not changing gear and struggling to get above 20mph with full acceleration!! The driver told me he is going to get the bus swapped once it gets into town.
