Blimey, that took a while. I saw it parked on the layover (if that's what it's called?) with the hazard lights on at 17:20.

Reliably informed by a mate that a '64 reg bus' (so presumably a WB E400) had broken down near the Hawthorns yesterday, causing traffic chaos after the match.

The 64 reg E400s in Coventry are also terrible! I think all of them have broke down already!
Favourite buses currently:
871, 1828, 4421, 4764, 6101, 6108, 6116, 6118, 6121, 6848, 6849
Least favourite buses currently:
4203, 4213, 4398, 4419

4839 was in Earlsdon at around 17:20 parked up with the hazards on displaying 27A on the destination display! Presumably broken down as there was nobody on it and the engine was also off.

See, that is where you are wrong, same as saying all the new buses have broken down. It was late out of garage on a peak 12 board, so ran to Earlsdon private and started a 12 journey there at 17:27 before finishing the running board off

But 4838 did break down whilst on the 21 earlier in the day before going onto the 12 didn't it? Because it was replaced by 2168.

Just because a bus was swapped, doesn't mean that the bus necessarily broke down....

That's correct Nathan, dog mess, vomit, wanted in garage for an exam can all be reasons for a bus being taken off service as well as breakdowns and several other reasons

Have the last laugh Lauren 4839 has failed outside Sainsbury's on the 21, no it went off empty with a police car in tow you'll have to await for another day could be tomorrow before it fails again.

The Enviro 400s are fine - not terrible at all. Every bus breaks down at some point in their lives, and new buses are bound to have teething issues, just like cars. Yet to have a bad ride on any of the Enviro 400s. The Enviro 200s are not as good though - rattle too much.
