One of the trams made a journey to Wolverton on the back of an Allelys lorry yesterday presumably for repairs to the cracks.

Possibly from a 196 as saw a pic of one at Donnington RFT missing a couple of coaches

Came over the crossing at Black Lake last night and noticed what looked like tail lights sat between the stop and the tunnel possibly a tram out on test.

Yes, 11:03, how wonderful that would be when I have a 4 hour drive back in a 45mph bus! Oh no I wouldn't have a 4 hour drive back because I would be too late to collect the bus in the first place!

I appreciate you wouldn't know I cannot collect the bus after 14:00, but the last thing I want to be doing is driving home completely in the dark at that speed.

6713 currently sat on Stafford Road awaiting a tow back to Walsall.

Cool, I had a feeling we were looking at either a late November or early December launch. Only a few vehicles left to be delivered, and they all need livery/branding applied, as well as driver type-training.

Can I guess that these vehicles will be fuelled up at Tyseley until appropriate facilities are installed and ready at Walsall garage?

All the 51 boards have it scheduled in so the bus will head over to tyseley for refuelling once per day.

One from yesterday 4566 made it onto the 997 on an afternoon peak board.

That may be the case but difficult to imagine how a bus would skid and lose control on a slippery road surface on a narrow, slow moving and straight section of an urban street like that.

The bus would have just turned right at the lights just outside of the bus station onto that street so would not have been going straight. Also it's not the first accident to happen on cobbled streets like these there was one at the bus gate by New Square in West Brom last year.

The detail always missing from these BM articles is "what actually happened?"

Not trying to speculate but where its happened the weather and road surface would probably have been a factor as those paved areas are very slippery when wet.
