Just found this on NXWM's site: http://nxbus.co.uk/west-midlands/information/service-changes/south-birmingham-service-changes-27th-april

I didn't expect the 1/31 changes but suprised there isn't more changes on the Bristol Road/98/99!

Merry Hill:
282 - Diamond

Stourbridge:
296 - Hansons

Wolverhampton:

Coventry:

47 - WMSNT
83 - WMSNT
84 - WMSNT
232/233 - The A and M Group

Outside the West Midlands the 406F in Surrey must be a good contender for being one of the longest running occassional bus routes with the widest variety of buses used on it throughout its' history including bendi-buses, single and dual door deckers and routemasters. Running every minute as this 1933 poster http://www.eplates.info/P_406F-1933.jpg illustrates on race days.

Just as a contrast, is this the smallest drop in frequency?

Brighton & Hove Route 25 - every 3 minutes Monday-Friday Peak Hours, every 5 minutes Monday-Friday Daytime, every 7-8 minutes Saturday Daytime, every 10 minutes Monday-Saturday Evenings, every 12 minutes Sunday Daytimes, every 15 minutes Sunday Evenings, every 10 minutes Monday-Saturday Nights, every 30 minutes Sunday Night. Can't be many routes which are more frequent at night than on a Sunday Daytime!

Regal Busways had a Leyland Lynx in regular service in Essex until recently (even repainted into their latest livery - not sure whether it's still in service.

Equally Nu-Venture in Kent had a few Leyland Titan's left in normal service until 2012 - don't know the situation now though.

This may be of interest (if you haven't seen it already) http://www.openstreetmap.org/ - search for a city then select layers then transport map.

Probably the most comprehensive bus map of the world - some cities are better than others - Coventry is excellent and many cities are really well represented e.g. Stockholm/Hong Kong/Bogota/Paris etc. Wolverhampton needs some work - some routes are shown.

Having used the 900A journey between Birmingham and Coventry for a few weeks it is actually very busy with Airport workers with early starts. Not sure about the 59A though.

Passes are valid and daysavers are valid up until 5am(I think) with the previous days date. In effect a daysaver on the 97 is valid for 29hours.
5am?
wow
this means I could easily get my local bus into town which departs 4:49 from where I am :P

Only valid until 5am on the 97, on all other routes it is until end of service, ie around midnight

NXWM Daysavers/Travelcards valid until 0159 (no exceptions)
nBus/nNetwork until 0000
nx Early Bird 0000 to 0929
nBus/nNetwork Early Bird 0400-0929

Therefore My Nbus Bus Pass wouldn't be valid on the last 997 from Birmingham  :o useful info to know though

If the nBus expires on that day you cannot use it after 0000 after the date of expiry e.g. if it runs out on the 21/02/14 then it can only be used until 0000 on 21/02/14 - if you use it within the dates of its validity i.e. on the 20/02/14 you can use it all night (unless it is a dedicated night bus of which there are currently none). The conditions changed when the 24-hour operation of the 97 commenced - previously the conditions were - until the end of daytime service.

A benefit for anyone living in Cannock/Kenilworth/Bedworth/Leamington Spa using NXWM/NXC services is the app also shows the NXWM/NXC services outside the West Midlands i.e. Warwickshire & Staffordshire, which the NWM app doesn't as far as I'm aware. :)
