Is there any truth in the rumour that an IGO driver was prevented from driving by the DVSA during a road side check at Wednesbury bus station on a 64 service vehicle for not having a DQC  last week ?

You must carry this card while driving a lorry, bus or coach professionally.'

The rumour is that the dvr had not completed 35 hours CPC training which would normally mean he/she cannot drive in service.

Take a look at EU Directive 2003.59.EC which states that drivers of permit S22/S19 vehicles, as they are driving non commercial services (not for profit), are exempted from holding CPC. That being said WMSNT is a recognised training body for CPC training external and internal applicants alike and therefore does provide all staff with the required level of training

Obviously they didn't want it that badly!
