2. It's not a premier route
3. Pensnett may get some newer buses this year (maybe they won't) but i'd be doubtfull that they would get brand new deckers, more likely to be enviro 200's if they're 'lucky'

If the 9 is not a Premier route it deff a flagship route for the company but with the new buses if possible they will get new deckers (2nd or 3rd batch) for both 9 and 141 Possible to gone on other routes like 120 and the 140/241 but i can see walsall get new single decker then d/d and then transfer b7's (1750+) to pn

To be honest the chances of PN getting any further new buses at the moment are very very slim.

With the average age of PN buses being a lot less than it was a few years ago thanks to the removal of the B6s to WN and the withdrawl of many of the Mercs, i cannot see National Express agreeing that there is any need for many more new buses.

My gut feeling is, as Karl says, a few new E200s perhaps for the 243/4 & maybe even the 205. These & a few extra Tridents should mean that PN can get rid of all there remaining Mercs.

If all the remaining buses can be in new livery, it will mean that PN will have quite a smart, modern fleet. (and yes i know the Tridents are quite old, but it is amazing what a coat of paint and some new seat covers can do)

As for the 9, it is really a route of two halves, between Stourbridge & Halesowen to me it is under used, however between Halesowen & City to me it does need more capacity. Maybe NE should consider making it every 12 mins between Stourbridge & Birmingham & every 6 mins between Halesowen & City.
