I don't usually either, but when you live so close to a shopping centre, you deserve a direct service don't you? That's what I think anyway, at least Brickhouse Farm still have the 208

I haven't got a direct link to merry hill, if i want to get there i have to catch a bus to dudley. Thats after walking up a steep hill. A bit of excercise doesn't hurt anyone.

All of the new B7s are stalking me, I keep seeing them everywhere, except 2099, which I have not seen once yet.

2099 came into Dudley just after you left on a 244 home Matt :)

According to this fleetlist it has, but I not seen it around nor has it been reported on here yet


The above fleetlist also quotes 1628 & 1629 both as withdrawn, 1628 maybe, but I'd be surprised if 1629 was as well, so those may be wrong, there are other inaccuracies as it states PB still have B10L's 1426, 1430, 1451 & 1462 in services, there's no mention of Lea Hall used as a storage site. Plus ex Travel London Excels 7202-7207 are still shown stored at Pensnett, they left months ago for scrap

I think I may have rode 1628's final journey in service, on the 244 last Saturday it kept losing power and dying, couldn't get up hills any faster than walking pace, it was swapped for 2100 at Dudley and an engineer drove it away. I had a feeling looking at it driving off that it would be the last time I'd see it. It was a superb bus until recently, one of the best Mercs we had.
