Was waiting in Stourbridge bus station at lunchtime when the 28 service came in going to Merry Hill (1235) displaying 28E Merry Hill. I always thought that the E meant exception to the normal timetable, so therefore the E wasn't required on this journey??

They have 28 running   every half hour to merry hill & hourly to Halesowen from Stourbridge
