Sorry meant to ask if 1668 is out as well?

If it is, it'll be on the 53/289
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

Will the 53 and 289 continue to inter work from tomorrow with the reextension of the 289 back to Merry Hill?

It would be nice to see pensnett get some half decent vehicles to their fleet. The fact they have to keep borrowing b6s from Wolverhampton  and the state of some of the mercs must be an embarrassment to the company especially as they are talking about the platinum routes and the improved vehicles!!

I agree, the Mercs are on borrowed time anyway, they are just making the most of them whilst they still can. There's not one merc i like. Unfortunately I live on the 244 route, but refuse to go one, especially when the 4H is offering so much better standard buses. I think the 244 will get e200 mmc when Mercs are finally put out their misery

I agree that the Mercs are on borrowed time now, but i don't think PE will get any new buses for the 243/4, my gut feeling is more cascades of deckers from other garages freeing up the B7RLEs for the 243/4.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Remember the ADL deal was for deckers and midi buses though...

You may be right, but i don't see that the 243/4 needs new buses when it can be covered other ways, and remember that WN are going to need Midi Buses to replace the B6s.

Wasn't it also mentioned the order would be half and half ? Or am i mistaken ?

Reliability issues with the vehicles go a long way to make the services unreliable.Taking the 53 and 289 improvements have been made to the route to help with reliability of the service along with them now being on their own running board but if the busses keep failing which they do on a regular basis mainly down to the age of them then these efforts are in vain. I bet some of the vehicles in that top yard at Pensnett that have been withdrawn are in better shape than some of the crates they currently have to service!!

I bet there not, the majority in the top yard were withdrawn for a reason. The remainder have been long term stored.

I'm sure PN will get some of the 171 new buses due, with the remainder being cascaded Tridents & possibly further B7RLE to allow all 28 Mercs to be retired.
