Are we expecting all 4 buses on the 246 tomorrow to be E400s?

Will any of the Tridents come out to play tomorrow? I would like to see one, if not all 3, buses on the 140/241 to be Tridents

Think the tridents will be kept in the garage on Sundays with the 246 being fully E400 operated

My gut feeling is that the Tridents are to take over the 246 so that talking bus equipment can be fitted tO them.

therefore in the future i would expect Tridents to be used on Sundays

Refurb/repaint for those which need it, and 246 branding?

Although I am generally not one for route branding, I would like to see the 246 tridents gain route branding, and also new Hagley Road branding for around 20 of the Enviro400s, for use on the 9, 141.

Once the 246 is fully Trident-operated, I think the E400s taken off the 246 should be placed on the 140/241 as they are in desperate need of a double decker upgrade.

In fact, crazy idea - why not brand 3/4 Enviros for the 140/241, with something along the lines of "every 15 minutes between Dudley and Blackheath" ;)

That may not be the best idea, the PVR of 9 and 141 is 26 (I think), leaving three spare, but for MOT's repairs and maintenance, B7s would always be on the 9. The 140 only really needs doubles for three hours a day, between 7.30 and 8.30 from Dudley and between 4.30 and 6.30 from Birmingham

I think most people were expecting all 4 buses to be Enviros not Tridents. Have you seen any more 246s? :)

Andrew1991

No, i was only there for around 5 mins :/

>> I've just seen 1867 operating in Coventry on service 23 (Sunday 14th) so that one can't be at Perry Barr.

Looks as if the Tridents have stayed in the depot today.

The 6 buses on the 9 are 4803, 4804, 4805, 4811, 4812 and 4818
The 5 buses on the 141 are 4807, 4808, 4810, 4824 and 4826
And the 3 buses on the 140/241 are 2078, 2089 and 2098

Nobody seen any on the 246?

wilmotm (Matt Wilmot)

How does the 141 use 5 buses on the Sunday and the 9 only uses 5?

141 has 5 buses with a 30 minute frequency, 9 has 6 buses with a 20 minute frequency. The 141 is slightly longer than the 9 and there is considerable layover at Merry Hill on the 141 whereas the 9 only stays at Stourbridge for a few minutes

Wonder whether we will see any B6 workings this week from PE?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).
