To save all the arguments, because the new ones are different spec in some important engineering items no garage is having both

Yer @Dom how do you know where our platinum buses are being built  or have they already been built

Scarborough then. In 2015.

I see the X96 now has a scrolling via line, this is a small pet hate of mine, the via line has tiny writing! On the software you can change a setting to make it larger writinv, as seen on several routes such as the X51 in Walsall, 1,2,10 in Wolverhampton and 243/4 at Pensnett. Surely somebody would see sense to change them all to the larger writing? Also the miss match of some routes only having static via points whilst others have scrolling? Why not make a standard of all scrolling with larger writing? Having been at the company and working on the destination displays i know it is a bit of a ball ache but surely it would look better if it was all the same? Sorry for the vent just a small frustration of mine, especially as the large via lines are so much more clear for people with poor eye sight for example.

For the number crunchers
Death row buses with not long left most now been fitted with scrap tyres ready for Trevor the tow truck
Buses as of 24/7/16 top yard
1549 1605 1639 1619 1612 1666 1636 1550 1696 1653 1585
1667 1427 687 1546 1573 1589 1647
Quiet a few mercs got engines missing

Just to pick up again on that list of withdrawn Mercs at Pensnett - I also had these listed at that location:
1586/1630/1632/1638/1641/1646/1657/1700 [with 1631 at WB & 1613/71 at MS]. Does that mean those have gone for scrap?

Thank you, updating my own notes. Think NXWM are down to 26 examples still in ownership (including 1687 Health Buzz & Trainer 1689) barring any further sales for scrap. It would appear all the scrappers are concentrated at Pensnett:
1546/1549-1550/1553/1573/1585-1586/1589/1605/1612/1630/1632/1636/1638-1639/1641/1646-1647/1653/1657/1666-1667/1687/1689/1696/1700.

The only clear blinds are roller blinds or the Platinum blinds. Anything else is a ball ache to see unless its at night.

the list I published is what is up the top yard if it's not on the list it's been scrapped

26 left may only be 18 left in reality and that would include 1687/89. They're getting nearer extinction.

So if I read this correctly, as BC and WA already have Platinum E400s, and WN, BC, PN (X10) and AG (966) are due to get new/more Platinum E400s, does this mean that the current batch at BC will be going elsewhere? (to PN and AG?)

It did occur to me that it seemed strange for AG to have just a handful of Platinum buses for one route, so I did wonder if the 966 would stay at AG or not. Same would go for the X10, why have just a few of that type for one route?
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

But PN operate 22 x E400MMC's, just in a different colour livery

Also the E200MMCs are identical cab wise to the 400s, minus one or two things. No doubt many other components are the same though.

We were type trained on YW 6148 at AG

Personally I've always thought it looks more tidier with just the final destination displayed rather than via points also, makes it easier to read also
