Is 1629 branded for the X96 by any chance?

1629 was parked up in Pensnett garage this morning & appears to have gained a front LED destination at least

1629 is not for X96 all newely refurbed mercs at pensnett will be fitted with digi blinds. 1629 returned from refurb had new blind fitted then took for mot then put in service after 3 hours the gearbox went looked fancy on a tow truck

I take it 4806 has now returned if 4827 has gone to the paintshop?

What's the reason behind Pensnett Enviros being repainted/re-trimming after only 3 yrs in service? Is the 9 due to receive new branding or something? I would have thought YW 50 Enviros or PB's Sutton Lines Enviros were more deserving of this treatment, or the many double deckers still in TWM livery / faded light blue moquette

Do you think 1645 will ever get its first repaint before it's withdrawn???

Saw 4826 in town earlier and it looks loads better with the bit between the windows painted instead of black. They should have done the beams around the destination though like the ex - PB Leather Enviro's.

4827 hasn't gone yet its awaitng a new injector to be fitted first. I honestly don't know why they are repainting the enviro's i've not heard of a re-branding nor have i heard of new buses to the 9 and the current enviro's to be moved onto other routes. But doesn't mean these arn't posibilities. Repaint and re-furb is often a local decision so they may just want to smarten the apperance, most of those enviro's are pushing up to 175,000 miles i dont know how that compares to the oes on the fifty but its high compared to alot of routes.

Yes, its been parked up at Pensnett garage for the last week or so, whether is been donating some parts or something?

I would think it got stored when withdrawn from west brom as west brom has little room and needs all the space it can get, so sent to Pensnett for storage until space become available at miller street these are my thoughts

518 was driven to Pensnett from reserve for parts to be removed and was towed back to reserve today, 1588 was a high impact front RTC which has been towed and doubt it will be seen again and 4827 was awaiting ADL to fit new parts. all 'dead' buses have been removed from the top of the yard to create space for car parking due to waste land been cordened off.
